Définition

Une condition causée par l'hypermétabolisme en réponse à certains médicaments anesthésiques. Cet état se caractérise par une hyperthermie, une tachycardie, une tachypnée, une production accrue de dioxyde de carbone, une consommation accrue d'oxygène, une acidose, une rigidité musculaire et une rhabdomyolyse. Cette affection peut être associée à une mutation génétique.
